Well, chances are extremely good that I will be moving to Newark, NJ upon leaving the service at the beginning of September and working with the FAA. I am pretty excited. I will be doing the same thing I have been doing in the military, but with for more money and with less bullshit. I can only work 40 hours a day, don't go into work until 9 am, and get overtime for working on weekends. It sounds so glorious to me. The equipment I will be working on is also much newer and in better condition than the military ones. It should be awesome, considering I will also be making twice as much money as I am now.

On top of all that, I will be right next to New York City, and only 2 hours from Teresa instead of the 6 that I am now. That is going to rock cause I can see her every other weekend if not more often than that.

I can't wait to get out of the south. I have spent far too much time down here (5 years) and need to get back up north. While I still plan on returning to Chicago in 2-3 years, I am really looking forward to my stay in the NorthEast. It is one of the few regions of the country I have not lived in. So far, I have lived in the Midwest, South West, West Coast, Deep South, and the South(east coast). To date, the Midwest and West Coast...minus the hippies...were my favorites. I have high hopes for the North East.

I plan on painting on a regular basis once I get set up in NJ where I will have my own place and a lot more free time, so you will start to see me actually posting things again. Expect a lot of random stuff and probably a couple sloths here and there. I will also post pictures of my cosplays as I get them done (see below).

As far as upcoming cosplay goes....

I am currently working on a few that will be ready for Katsucon 2009 as Otakon kind of fell apart. They are Psycho Mantis, Pyramid Head, Momochi Zabuza, and The Joker. I will have them all ready for that con so be looking for them. I may not wear the Joker but I will have it nonetheless. After that, I am going to really step things up and try to make either Gundam Heavy Arms Custom, Eva-01, or the robot from FLCL who's name escapes me at the moment. Let me know which of the three you would like to see most. I would enjoy the challenge either way so I'll let you all decide which one I will have ready for the next Otakon.
